Amplified Mediocrity is that state of just good enough. In school it would be a B+, more than passing, but still far less than ideal. It is a state that lulls one into a sense that working harder or differently won't necessarily improve anything.

Blank Slate is the state where you are able to receive information without bias. Your goal is to know nothing that could interfere with your ability to think creatively. This is also an act of faith, as many will want to read ahead and prepare, but, as Brazen Creatives know, that biases problem-solving.

Brazen Creativity is that state where you are at your best. You create, advocate and implement ideas that solve problems, both seen and unseen. When one is in this state, you will not care about other people's opinions nor their "judgement". Your focus is on the problem and solution you perceive for it. Brazen Creativity means getting one's ideas heard and decided upon fearlessly.

Business Consulting is the process of helping a business owner see their business’s IKIGAI, then, through understanding, utilize every resource and process at their disposal to build the best business in its class.

Change is the process of transformation from one state to the next. Change can be internally and intentionally directed or caused by external factors. However initiated, change is constant and must be managed or it may overwhelm the individual, team, or organization.

Clarity is when a leader understands their personal and their organization’s IKIGAI. It is the moment when the reason why you woke up, joined the team, or became aware of what was most important to the existence of the endeavor.

DSRE (Discovery, Stretch, Refinement and Execution): the process of uncovering and building on IKIGAI for individuals, teams, and businesses. Each step requires introspection, candor, and a willingness to think big and realistically at the same time.

Epic Presence is that state of being in the moment where you know your IKIGAI and thus place yourself as the hero of your own story. And that story, no matter how humble to outside viewers, is epic in your mind—the adventure of a lifetime. One who lives like this makes decisions and lives with the responsibility and joy of crafting the best possible story ever.  

Focus is the effort upon which an individual, team, or organization places the bulk of its energy and effort. When focus is deeply understood, it is a force multiplier - that is the result of focus is far greater than the effort expended on it.

IKIGAI (in this context, always in capital letters) is the reason why you wake. It is the motivator for why you get out of bed. Family MAY be one's IKIGAI, but imagine that your family actually prospers because of it versus being it. The gift you give to humanity, no matter how trivial, is the reason you wake. If you don't know it, the pursuit of that understanding is your IKIGAI.

Innovation—beyond the dictionary definition, it is seeing your world with a fresh lens, applying new perspective to existing problems, rediscovering resources or applying old problems to new discoveries. Innovation is a cornerstone of Brazen Creativity.

New Campaign is the start of a novel effort. It can be new marketing or markets for existing products or services, new products or services for existing markets or a combination of the two.

Personal Consulting is the process of helping individual entrepreneurs and business owners see, understand and utilize their personal emotions, creativity and brilliance to start or grow their business.

Pivot is a conscious decision by an individual, team or organization to change its fundamental direction. When making a pivot, the individual, team, or organization mines their history and lessons learned to inform the direction they choose, the reason they choose it and the method by which they will pursue success.

Problem: a clearly stated pivot, change or new campaign that leaves an individual, team, or organization struggling with what to do next. Often the problem presents as a loss of confidence in the mission or misunderstanding, miscommunication, or conflict within a team or organization. For the individual, it may show up as frustration.

Solution: a path with clarity, vision and focus. When a problem is properly defined, then a solution is typically 50% complete already.

Sparkle, as in Start With A Sparkle, the precursor to IKIGAI. The part of you that bleeds through the noise of adult life to show up in the most unexpected ways. Seeing people smile or laugh, hearing the noise of a jet engine or feeding hungry folks are all examples of one's Sparkle. And when you've discovered it, pursuing it becomes your IKIGAI.   

Strategy is what you build after you unlock your genius. The process of thinking through and articulating what you want, why you want it and the steps you'll take to achieve it. Without strategy, achieving one's desires and goals is a matter of chance versus choice.

Vision is the overarching North Star the individual, team, or organization uses to check its progress. Without a vision, they tend to drift and perhaps lose their focus altogether.

What PAYS? is the acronym for What Problem Are You Solving? Fundamental to any business’s success is meeting and exceeding a customer’s need while generating revenue. If a customer cannot or will not pay for a solved problem, no business exists.
